Materials: Clay vs. Fondant

Edible Art or Everlasting Keepsake?

Handmade white dragon clay cake topper keepsake.
Our clay figurines are handcrafted to be permanent mementos of your favorite characters.

At My Artistry World, we specialize in two distinct types of craftsmanship. Whether you want a traditional edible topper for the “cake cutting moment” or a permanent sculpture to display forever, we have you covered.

Which one should I choose?

Choose Edible Fondant if…

  • You love the tradition of every part of the cake decoration being 100% food-safe and edible.

  • You are looking for a beautiful, cost-effective centerpiece for a one-day celebration.

  • You plan on disposing of the topper or eating it after the event.

Choose Air-Dry Clay if…

  • You want a Keepsake: You want to save the sneaker (or figurine) in a display case or on a shelf as a memory of the milestone.

  • You are Gifting: You want the recipient to have a “mini-statue” of their favorite shoes that won’t melt or break over time.

  • You need it Shipped Far: Clay is much more durable for long-distance international shipping (to Europe or North America) and is less likely to be damaged in transit.

  • You want more Detail: Clay allows for slightly sharper textures and a realistic matte finish that perfectly mimics leather, suede, and rubber.

Safety Note

While our Air-Dry Clay toppers are non-edible, they are crafted with non-toxic materials and are perfectly safe to place on top of your cake. We recommend placing them on a small piece of parchment paper or a cake board (provided) to ensure no clay-to-frosting contact occurs.
